Cognitify

// AGENT · PRODUCTION

The Foreman. Your production knowledge, on call.

// Part of Cognitify Agents.

The Foreman answers shop-floor and engineering questions from your own technical documentation — specs, procedures, manuals, drawings, even scans. It double-checks every answer against the documents, cites its sources, and calls your designated human expert when the stakes are real. Lives where your team already writes — Microsoft Teams, Slack or any other business chat.

Early access · We onboard a few teams at a time · We reply within 1 business day.

The answer exists. It’s on page 47 of a PDF nobody has opened since 2023.

On a production floor, tribal knowledge is a single point of failure: the torque spec, the changeover procedure, the one paragraph of the quality manual that settles the dispute — locked in documents nobody opens and in heads that eventually go on vacation. So the line waits. Or worse — guesses.

The Foreman is tuned for correctness over speed: it drafts an answer, critiques its own draft against the documentation, and revises before speaking — sources attached. And for the questions where “probably” costs real money, one escalation puts the case in front of your human expert, context already gathered.

// what it does

Answers you can take to the machine.

  1. 01

    Reads what you actually have

    OCR from day one: scans, legacy PDFs, the faxed-then-scanned classics. Bulk ingestion — 50 files a batch, parsed and indexed in the background with per-file status.

  2. 02

    Self-critique before answering

    Draft → check against the documents → revise. The extra seconds buy you answers your engineers won’t have to un-teach.

  3. 03

    Call for help

    For questions where a wrong answer costs real money, it escalates to your designated expert — with the question, the context and the retrieved documents already attached.

  4. 04

    Access-scoped answers

    Access policies control which content each agent — and each role — can retrieve. The finance folder doesn’t leak into shop-floor answers.

// under the hood

Part of Cognitify Agents — one knowledge base, one transparent balance, one console. OCR-capable document pipeline (PDF, Office, scans) · Self-critique answer pipeline · Access policies per role · Hard tenant isolation · Append-only audit trail · BYOAI (Anthropic / OpenAI / Google).

// business cases

Where it earns its keep.

  1. 01

    Manufacturing lines

    • Changeovers, specs and maintenance procedures answered at the machine.
    • Fewer line stops spent waiting for the one engineer who knows.
    • Night shifts get the same answers as day shifts.
  2. 02

    Quality & compliance

    • Answers cite the exact procedure paragraph — audit-friendly by construction.
    • A traceable record of what was asked and what was answered.
    • Version discipline: answers come from the current document, not a 2019 printout.
  3. 03

    Operator onboarding

    • New hires ask the Foreman instead of interrupting the seniors.
    • Ramp-up measured in weeks, not months.
    • The expert’s time reserved for expert questions — the rest is self-served.

// questions

Questions, answered.

Can it read scanned documents and drawings?
Yes — OCR is in the ingestion pipeline from v1. Scans, legacy PDFs, photographed pages: if a human can read it, it can be indexed.
A wrong answer on the floor costs real money. How do you prevent it?
Three layers: it answers only from your documents, it critiques its own draft against them before sending, and when confidence isn’t there it doesn’t guess — it calls your human expert with the context attached.
Who sees what?
Access policies scope retrieval per agent and per role, on top of hard tenant isolation and an append-only audit trail. Confidentiality survives the AI layer.
